Court extends custody in Ketan Agarwal murder case

A Pune court has extended police custody of two accused in the Ketan Agarwal murder until July 3. The decision allows time for gait analysis of Chetan Chaudhary and other probes.

The Vadgaon Maval court granted the extension after prosecutors listed 18 pending investigative steps. These include matching Chaudhary’s walking pattern to CCTV footage from Lohagad Fort using AI tools.

A senior police officer explained that Chaudhary will wear his original hoodie and walk at the site for comparison with June 18 recordings. Digital evidence and deleted data recovery are also under review.

Defense lawyers argued that sufficient evidence had already been collected. The court rejected a seven-day request and approved four days instead.
