An accounting firm in Södertälje receives payment for only eight of fifteen billed hours after a dispute settled by Svea Court of Appeal.
Svea Court of Appeal confirmed at the end of June the ruling by Södertälje District Court in the case between the firm and a restaurant owner in Strängnäs. The parties had entered an agreement in March 2024 for bookkeeping services at 500 kronor per hour excluding VAT.
The disputed invoice covered the period 14 May to 8 June and amounted to 9 375 kronor. The Court of Appeal placed weight on breaks longer than 30 minutes in the firm’s time log and therefore approved only eight hours.
The final outcome was 5 437 kronor including VAT plus 450 kronor in late payment compensation. The firm had not presented any summary of hours worked.
