Multiple teams pursued five-time Pro Bowl edge rusher Maxx Crosby from the Las Vegas Raiders before a potential trade fell apart earlier this month. The Dallas Cowboys, seeking pass-rush help, led with aggressive bids but stopped short of the Raiders' demand for two first-round draft picks, ESPN reported. Their initial proposal included the 2026 first-round pick at No. 20 overall and defensive tackle Osa Odighizuwa. They later adjusted to the No. 12 pick in 2026 plus a 2027 third-rounder, then finalized with the No. 20 pick and a 2027 second-rounder. All were rejected. The Baltimore Ravens advanced furthest, agreeing to the asking price, but withdrew after Crosby failed a physical. Crosby had surgery in January for a torn meniscus in his left knee, raising fears of a degenerative issue among Ravens medical staff. Cowboys team doctor Dan Cooper assisted in the exam but did not drive the decision to back out. Instead of Crosby, Dallas acquired Rashan Gary from the Green Bay Packers to bolster their defense. Recent checks indicate Crosby has reversed course on leaving Las Vegas. NFL Media's Tom Pelissero said teams inquiring about a trade were told Crosby expressed loyalty to Raiders owner Mark Davis, general manager John Spytek, head coach Klint Kubiak, and defensive coordinator Rob Leonard. > My understanding is when teams have been checking on [a possible trade], they have been told the same thing that Maxx told everyone from [Raiders owner] Mark Davis to [Raiders general manager] John Spytek to [Raiders head coach] Klint Kubiak to [Raiders defensive coordinator] Rob Leonard, which is Maxx wants to be a Raider. Maxx is no longer trying to get out of Las Vegas. Pelissero told Rich Eisen. For now, Crosby appears set to stay put.
