Surveillance footage from the 'Le Rallye' bar shows Dahbia Benkired, then 24 and Algerian, sitting on a red vinyl bench facing Karim Bellazoug, a man in black joggers. Beside her, two suitcases and at her feet, the trunk with Lola's body, dead for about an hour. Despite the horror, the accused acts with disconcerting lightness: leaning back or on her elbows, she stares at her interlocutor and 'insists three times' that he look in the trunk, according to Bellazoug's testimony.
She had approached him around 5 p.m., near the crime scene, telling him she had 'things.' At the stand, Benkired got tangled in new contradictory versions. The trial, which started recently, targets this 27-year-old woman under an OQTF. Lola's father died of a heart attack in February 2024, and her mother has spoken about her recovery two years after the events.
