Delhi-NCR rain to continue with heavy rainfall alert from July 26

The India Meteorological Department forecasts light rain in Delhi-NCR today while moderate to heavy rainfall is expected between July 26 and 28.

The monsoon remains active over Delhi-NCR. Today skies will stay generally cloudy with light rain possible from morning to afternoon and again at night. Maximum temperatures are expected between 32 and 34 degrees Celsius while minimum temperatures may range from 23 to 25 degrees Celsius.

On Wednesday Safdarjung recorded 12 mm of rain and Palam Airport recorded 18.7 mm. Skymet Weather noted light to moderate rain at most city stations.

From July 26 the monsoon trough will shift northward and may reach north of Delhi by July 28. Rainfall intensity and spread are likely to increase during this period. Activity may reduce after July 29.
