Traces of the classic Svampenterminalen landmark in Örebro are being erased. The demolition will make room for new development in the city.
Örebro's northern entrance has long given a heavy and boring impression at the Östra Bangatan crossing. The area was previously a terminal for trucks and freight trains but has stood abandoned since ASG left several years ago.
Jeanette Berggren, CEO of Örebroporten, says the demolition creates conditions for Örebro's development. The demolition will provide opportunities for something new on the site.
Traces of the old landmark are on the way to being erased, according to local reports.
