Disney removes Tomorrowland tower roof at Magic Kingdom

Walt Disney World Resort has removed the roof from a tower in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom Park. The structure, installed in 1994, stood at the entrance from the Cinderella Castle Hub. The work follows the removal of two similar towers earlier this month.

Disney cast members took down the roof on June 10. A scrim had covered the tower earlier in the week as part of the project. Support sections of the rocket-style tower remain in place for now. The removals form part of ongoing refurbishments in Tomorrowland. Crews recently repainted rocks along the Cinderella Castle moat. Walt Disney World Resort added TRON Lightcycle / Run in 2023 and has updated other attractions in the area. It remains unclear if new decorative elements will replace the three towers. The structures showed signs of rust and weather damage.
