Disney retire le toit d'une tour de Tomorrowland au Magic Kingdom

Le Walt Disney World Resort a retiré le toit d'une tour située à Tomorrowland, dans le parc Magic Kingdom. Cette structure, installée en 1994, se trouvait à l'entrée depuis la zone du Cinderella Castle Hub. Ces travaux font suite au retrait de deux tours similaires plus tôt ce mois-ci.

Les employés de Disney ont procédé au démontage du toit le 10 juin. Une bâche avait recouvert la tour au début de la semaine dans le cadre du projet. Les sections de support de la tour, de style fusée, restent en place pour le moment. Ces retraits s'inscrivent dans le cadre des rénovations en cours à Tomorrowland. Les équipes ont récemment repeint les rochers le long des douves du château de Cendrillon. Le Walt Disney World Resort a ajouté TRON Lightcycle / Run en 2023 et a mis à jour d'autres attractions dans la zone. Il n'est pas encore clair si de nouveaux éléments décoratifs remplaceront les trois tours. Les structures présentaient des signes de rouille et de dégradation due aux intempéries.
