The Washington Wizards and Utah Jazz will meet Thursday in the Las Vegas Summer League, pitting the top two picks from the 2026 NBA Draft against each other.
AJ Dybantsa, selected first overall by the Wizards, will face Darryn Peterson, taken second by the Jazz. The pair have a long-standing rivalry that dates back to high school and continued when their college teams, BYU and Kansas, met earlier this year.
Peterson impressed in the Salt Lake City Summer League, finishing one game with 25 points and 12 assists. Dybantsa is expected to make his Summer League debut in the matchup, which tips off at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN.
The game headlines the opening night of the Las Vegas event, which features all 30 NBA teams and runs through July 19. Several other rookies from the draft class are also scheduled to appear during the 11-day tournament.
