Egypt and Pakistan agree to create joint planning platform

Egypt and Pakistan have agreed to establish a joint periodic cooperation platform between their planning ministries. The deal was proposed during talks in New York on the sidelines of the UN High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development.

Egyptian Minister of Planning and Economic Development Ahmed Rostam welcomed the proposal from his Pakistani counterpart, Minister of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal Chaudhary. The bilateral meeting was also attended by Wael Eldahshan, Counsellor at Egypt’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations.
