Four suspected Familia Michoacana members detained in Tenancingo

State police captured four men accused of belonging to the Familia Michoacana near Tenancingo in the State of Mexico.

The detainees, identified as Juan “N”, Rodrigo “N”, José “N” and Esteban “N”, aged 22, 20, 28 and 21, were traveling in a white high-end truck on a dirt road in the El Chiflón neighborhood.

Authorities found two high-caliber long weapons, a replica pistol, three chargers, 90 cartridges, 18 homemade tire punctures and a cell phone inside the vehicle. The truck had a violent theft report since February 11.

The State of Mexico Security Secretariat reported that the four are being investigated for extortion, homicide, drug sales, kidnapping and vehicle theft. The detainees and seized material were placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry.
