Inara Rusli has spoken out about her decision to enter a siri marriage with Insanul Fahmi in August 2025, despite him already being married. She admits being influenced by his young age, respect for his character, and acceptance of her children. Inara also revises her past statements on polygamy and defends Insanul against personality disorder allegations.
Inara Rusli, former wife of singer Virgoun, recently appeared on Denny Sumargo's YouTube to explain the timeline of her siri marriage with Insanul Fahmi. The marriage took place in late August 2025, but Inara only learned of Insanul's marital status sometime afterward. "Belasan Agustus (2025) menjelang akhir … akhir baru dia cerita, ‘aku sebenarnya udah ada istri’, itu sudah nikah siri," she revealed on January 9, 2026.
Inara admitted she did not suspect Insanul, aged 26, was already married due to his youth. As a single mother of three, she felt happy to find a responsible figure who accepted her family. "Aku ngerasa happy ada orang yang mau nerima anak-anak aku ya kan. Terus dia orangnya baik gitu kan bertanggung jawab gitu dia settle juga," she said. The decision was driven more by emotion than logic, though she later felt betrayed and filed a police report that was withdrawn.
Her initial attraction to Insanul stemmed from respect for his social concern. "Bisa dibilang bukan suka ya mungkin aku lebih respek kali aku hormat ya. Maksudnya aku respek sama dia karena di umur dia yang muda gitu dia bisa memikirkan orang banyak gitu karyawan-karyawannya dia," Inara explained. Insanul's business aims to empower communities, including collaborations with Inara's group, which increased their meetings. Additionally, Insanul's closeness with Inara's children was a key factor, as she is selective as a single mother and had performed istikharah.
Addressing criticism of being a 'mistress,' Inara revised her past statement: "Aku bilang nggak ada perempuan baik-baik yang mau sama suami orang." She admitted fault for insulting polygamy's syariat and prophets' wives. "Aku akuin, aku salah, harusnya aku nggak ngomong kayak gitu karena itu sama dengan aku menghina syariat poligami," she stated. Inara is open to polygamy, having even offered it to Virgoun to avoid adultery.
Inara doubts the viral two-hour video as evidence of an affair, calling it blurry and edited. "Kurang jelas. Aku kurang jelas karena jujur videonya udah dipotong-potong terus udah ngga jelas juga, buram," she said. She intends to continue the relationship and awaits Wardatina Mawa, Insanul's legal wife, to file for divorce.
Defending Insanul against Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) accusations, Inara accompanied him to a psychiatrist and psychologist on January 8, 2026. Results were negative. "Alhamdulillah aku sudah mencoba mendampingi beliau ke psikiater, psikolog dan hasilnya aman, positif," she said at National Police HQ. She suggested accusers examine themselves. Inara's report on illegal personal data access has been elevated to investigation since January 7, 2026.
