Indonesia blocks polymarket calling it online gambling

Indonesia has blocked access to the crypto prediction market Polymarket after classifying the platform as illegal online gambling under local law.

Indonesia’s Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs cut access to Polymarket and began tracing affiliated social media accounts for further restrictions. The ministry described the service as an online gambling site disguised as a prediction market, even when it uses crypto or blockchain technology.
