Jehovah's Witnesses choir irritates staff at Arlanda Airport

Around one hundred Jehovah's Witnesses are repeatedly singing in the arrival hall at Arlanda Airport. Staff describe the situation as straining and unacceptable.

The singing has been ongoing around the clock since Friday this week and is scheduled to continue until Wednesday next week. Members are welcoming visitors to the Evig Lycka gathering at 3 Arena in Stockholm where around 30 000 people are expected to attend.

Maria Kinana who works as a hostess at the airport says it is tiring with the same song constantly. She views it as a work environment issue and unacceptable despite freedom of religion.

Jack Löfholm who works at a nearby cafe states that he has learned the lyrics after hours of choir singing. He describes it as loud and energetic but tough on the head. Staff have called security guards to reduce the intensity but the singing has resumed.

Swedavia states that they see no problem with the delegation and that it does not affect flight traffic or public order.
