Mysterious announcements heard on Stockholm metro

A commuter heard unexpected and inappropriate announcements on the red line metro in Stockholm on Thursday afternoon.

Amanda Lindahl, 29, was traveling between Universitetet and T-centralen when a voice began broadcasting unusual messages over the speaker system. The voice called passengers “jävla skithögar” and told “missbildade resenärer” to get off, while referencing a bus accident on Valhallavägen.

Lindahl recorded parts of the announcements and described how they mixed with normal metro messages. She felt shocked and unsure whether to leave the train.

SL states that similar reports have come in previously. The company has checked systems and logs without finding signs of unauthorized access but continues to investigate.
