Koeman leaves Frimpong out of Netherlands World Cup squad

Netherlands coach Ronald Koeman has named his 26-man squad for the 2026 World Cup without Liverpool defender Jeremie Frimpong.

Koeman announced the group on Wednesday. Frimpong, who joined Liverpool for £29.5 million and made 35 appearances this season, was the main omission from the right-back options that include Jurrien Timber and Denzel Dumfries. The defender has earned 15 caps but will miss the tournament in North America after a challenging first campaign with the club.
