New Persib Bandung player Luka Menalo said his first two training days felt heavy due to adapting to the weather and team program. The Bosnia-Herzegovina winger joined for the 2026/2027 season.
Luka Menalo held training sessions with Persib Bandung on 12 July 2026 at the supporting field of Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium. He trained under hot weather with other new players including Gabriel Mutombo and Balsa Sekulic under head coach Igor Tolic.
After training Menalo said, "Oke, dua hari pertama latihan rasanya berat, tapi itu wajar." He explained adaptation challenges covering weather, environment, and training atmosphere in Indonesia.
Menalo's recruitment process took only two days after initial contact from Igor Tolic and Stanley Bernard. He decided to join after discussing with his family including their baby and felt drawn by Bobotoh support.
Menalo said the team now focuses on preparations for the President's Cup starting 25 July 2026 before moving to AFC Champions League Two.
