A 29-year-old man faces first-degree murder charges after allegedly shooting his estranged wife during an argument at her Wichita apartment. The victim, identified as 25-year-old Ivy Unruh, died several days after the April 17 incident.
Joshua Orlando was arrested at the scene of the shooting at the Remington Apartments on East 37th Street North. According to court documents, Orlando called 911 himself and admitted to officers that he had shot Unruh during a confrontation. He told investigators that she had struck him with a bag containing a Nintendo Switch gaming console before he fired a single shot from his Sig Sauer handgun.
