McDonald’s remakes vintage Mega Man fan video for coffee ad

McDonald’s Japan has recreated a 2007 fan-made Mega Man music video to promote iced coffee. The new version features the original artists and updates the lyrics to focus on beating the summer heat.

In 2007 Team.Nekokan released an animated video titled “Air Man ga Taosenai,” also known as “I Cannot Defeat Airman.” The song describes a player’s repeated failures against the Mega Man 2 boss Air Man. A few days before the video’s 19th anniversary McDonald’s reassembled the original creators to produce a new version promoting iced beverages.
