Newbon urged patience, stating, 'I really hope people give them space to make the show that they want to make. It's really important that artistic endeavours are left to cook.' He praised Craig Mazin as 'an amazing writer' and 'great showrunner,' pointing to Chernobyl as evidence of his skill, and added, 'If they do it right, then I think it'll be a fantastic TV series.
