Nyc dot employee arrested in fatal queens crash

A New York City Department of Transportation worker has been arrested in connection with a March crash that killed a pedestrian in Queens. Jonathan Adorno faces misdemeanor charges for the incident that claimed the life of 31-year-old Nilufar Komilova.

Adorno was driving a Mack dump truck and making a right turn when he struck Komilova in a crosswalk, according to police. The Queens District Attorney filed charges of failure to exercise due care and failure to yield to a pedestrian. Komilova, a mother of two, died in the March 10 collision.
