Saquon Barkley family safe after attempted home invasion

Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley and his family were unharmed after an attempted home invasion early Saturday morning at their residence in Tredyffrin Township.

The incident occurred around 5 a.m., according to the Chester County District Attorney's Office. At least one suspect entered the home while the family was inside, but the alleged suspects left before police arrived.

Police are searching for a white SUV and two suspects believed to be involved. Captain Tyler Moyer of the Tredyffrin Township Police Department said all occupants were physically unharmed though unsettled.

The district attorney's office stated that nothing was taken during the incident. Authorities are asking the public to check home security cameras for suspicious activity around 5 a.m. and to contact police with any information.

Officials are working with federal law enforcement to determine if the attempt is connected to recent burglaries targeting other professional athletes.
