Owner Art Rooney II has maintained a consistent stance against rebuilding, even after the team last won a playoff game in 2016. Analyst Eva Geitheim of Sports Illustrated suggested this approach could haunt the franchise.
The 2027 NFL Draft is projected to offer a stronger quarterback class. Geitheim noted that staying competitive now carries risk if the Steelers fall short of a deep playoff run.
