The Super Mario Galaxy Movie features Princess Daisy and Fox McCloud in its post-credits scenes, alongside numerous cameos from Super Smash Bros. characters. Fox McCloud, voiced by Glen Powell, plays a key role aiding Mario and his allies in space. The film includes 13 references to Smash Bros. fighters plus one additional in the credits.
Fox McCloud encounters Mario, Luigi, Peach and Yoshi stranded in space, surrounded by unfamiliar characters. The Star Fox pilot, flying his Arwing spaceship, joins their fight against Bowser and Bowser Jr., complete with a backstory flashback featuring Falco Lombardi, Slippy Toad and Peppy Hare. In the first post-credits scene, Fox and a Toad transport the defeated Bowser, now in Dry Bowser form, and Bowser Jr. to a deserted prison, accompanied by Star Fox music. Mario staples like Donkey Kong appear early, while Luigi summons Mr. Game & Watch using Bowser Jr.'s magical paintbrush in the final battle. R.O.B., voiced by Ed Skudder, makes a cameo, as does Captain Olimar's S.S. Dolphin ship filled with Pikmin at a spaceport. Other nods include Birdo battling Peach at a casino, hordes of Ninji attacking, and baby versions of Mario, Luigi and Peach during key moments. Princess Daisy emerges in the final post-credits scene, hinted at by Luigi's earlier wish for his own princess. She first appeared in 1989's Super Mario Land as Sarasaland's ruler and often pairs with Luigi.
