On December 29, around 1,000 workers from DKI Jakarta, West Java, and Banten gathered at Patung Kuda starting at 10:00 WIB, expanding to at least 10,000 at the Presidential Palace on December 30. KSPI President Said Iqbal called it a 'major initial' action, also targeting the DPR RI building and Central Jakarta District Court over an incitement trial.
Central Jakarta Police Chief Commissioner General Susatyo Purnomo Condro deployed 1,392 personnel from 06:00 WIB, using non-lethal tactics like Tactical Wall Game. 'We prioritize humane and persuasive approaches without firearms,' he said, urging peaceful conduct to avoid anarchy or traffic disruptions around Monas. Alternative routes were recommended, with police affirming legal rights to protest.
