Two trucks collided Thursday on the Córdoba-Rosario highway near Pilar in Córdoba. One broke through the guardrail and hung suspended over the central median during a storm.
The incident took place at 7 a.m. on a slippery road caused by overnight rains. The Battello company truck, carrying mail supplies and driven by a 30-year-old man, struck a Scania loaded with steel columns.
The Battello vehicle lost control after the impact, broke through the guardrail and remained hanging with the risk of falling onto the lower level of Route 13. Its driver suffered an intercostal injury and received medical care, while the other driver was uninjured.
Officers from the Río Segundo Departmental, Caminera Police, firefighters and emergency services worked at the scene. Traffic lanes were reopened in the afternoon after the trucks and scattered debris were removed from the asphalt. The event caused delays and heavy congestion with alternative routes in use.
