The British Phonographic Industry (BPI) released its 2025 report, highlighting an 11th consecutive year of growth for the U.K. recorded music market. This expansion was propelled by domestic and global successes of British artists, including Olivia Dean, Lola Young, Sam Fender, and Central Cee. Major tours by Oasis, Coldplay, and Ed Sheeran further boosted sales of their back catalogs.

Music consumption rose 4.9% year-over-year to 210.3 million albums or streamed equivalents, with streams totaling 210.3 billion and increasing 5.5% to comprise 89.3% of all consumption.
