Violet Grohl adds extra London show due to demand

Violet Grohl has added a second headline date at London's Camden Assembly in response to high ticket demand for her upcoming tour.

The Los Angeles-based musician and daughter of Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl will now perform back-to-back nights at the venue on September 1 and 2. The extra date follows the release of her debut solo album Be Sweet To Me on May 29 via Aurora Records. Her UK tour dates begin August 25 at Manchester's Deaf Institute and continue to Glasgow's King Tuts the next night before the London shows. Additional European dates include Berlin, Cologne and Paris, along with appearances at Reading and Leeds Festivals, Electric Picnic in Ireland and Pukkelpop in Belgium. Grohl said earlier this year that she does not like male musicians her age. 'They have attitude problems,' she said. 'They've been saying this about us for so fucking long – it's time that they sit down, be quiet and play their music.' Dave Grohl revealed several months ago that he had no idea his daughter had signed a record deal until she told him at dinner.
