EA executive says AI tools foster rise in creativity

EA president of enterprise development Laura Miele stated that generative AI has led to a real rise of creativity at the company's studios by removing friction from development pipelines.

Miele made the remarks at Game Business Live during this year's Summer Game Fest while responding to a question on whether AI tools would shorten development cycles.

"Perhaps in some parts they will," she said. "I really believe in what I've seen, that I'm pretty excited about."

She added that AI has enabled faster prototyping and creativity along with shorter conversations around alignment. Miele noted it has removed some tedium from jobs.

Miele was promoted to her current role earlier this month from president of EA Entertainment.
