Tarsicio González, commercial director of CIAL dun & bradstreet, stresses the need to make these small and medium enterprises visible to access new business opportunities. In times of globalization and changing business environments, it is positive for companies to diversify their supplier portfolios, according to Tarsicio González, commercial director of CIAL dun & bradstreet. With growth in various productive sectors, large companies require new small and medium suppliers, but these need greater visibility to seize expansion opportunities.
“It’s about making them known (the SMEs), that’s what we seek, so they can do business with other clients and other SMEs,” González stated in an interview with El Financiero. He explained that it’s not just about identifying where and who the new supplier is, but also obtaining key information to avoid future problems.
“It’s possible that the company seeking a new supplier finds it, but doesn’t know if it’s reliable, financially viable, or what its payment behavior is with banks or suppliers,” the executive noted. CIAL works with SMEs that provide services to large companies in the maquiladora, transformation, and automotive industries, located in the north of the country.
González emphasized that, even with long-standing satisfactory suppliers, diversification remains beneficial. “It’s very important for us how we build this ecosystem so that more people who do the same and need each other get to know one another, and additionally, provide them with the necessary information so they have certainty in doing business and make the best decisions,” he mentioned.
The company has the capacity to identify new suppliers from local to international levels, fostering a more connected and reliable ecosystem for SMEs in Monterrey and nearby regions.
