Egypt explores pharma and healthcare investment with US firm

Egypt’s Ministry of Health has held talks with a US pharmaceutical company to discuss investment in healthcare and drug manufacturing. The meeting aims to attract foreign capital and boost local production capacity.

Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar met with Lawrence Messick, founder of Pure Peptides Pharmaceutical, to review cooperation opportunities in the Egyptian market.

The discussions focused on pharmaceutical manufacturing, elderly care, and clinical nutrition. Ministry spokesperson Hossam Abdel Ghaffar noted the government’s interest in technology transfer and international expertise.

Abdel Ghaffar invited a company delegation to visit Gypto Pharma city and the Egyptian Drug Authority. The talks form part of efforts to position Egypt as a regional hub for drug production through foreign investment.
