Escaped horse wanders near Ikuta Station in Kawasaki before returning to Meiji University stable

On the morning of January 5, a horse was spotted wandering roads near Ikuta Station on the Odakyu Line in Tama Ward, Kawasaki. The animal, kept by Meiji University's equestrian club, had escaped from its stable and returned to the Ikuta Campus on its own about 20 minutes later. No injuries or property damage occurred.

Around 7:30 a.m. on January 5, a passerby reported to the Tama police station that a horse was wandering in the area near Ikuta Station on the Odakyu Line in Tama Ward, Kawasaki. The horse belonged to Meiji University's equestrian club at the Ikuta Campus and had escaped from its stable.

Officers followed the horse in a patrol car to ensure safety as it strolled near the station vicinity. About 20 minutes later, the animal made its way back to the campus independently. Fortunately, there were no injuries to people or damage to property during the incident.

According to the Tama police station, the horse appeared calm while navigating the local roads. University officials confirmed the animal was unharmed. While such escapes are uncommon, the quick resolution prevented any major disruption in the residential neighborhood.
