A 42-year-old Florida man was arrested on Wednesday in connection with a fatal shooting that he allegedly livestreamed on Facebook. Gedeonson Hyacinthe faces charges including second-degree murder.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of Gedeonson Hyacinthe in the Pine Manor neighborhood. He was charged with second-degree murder, two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm, and two counts of drug possession. Hyacinthe is being held at the Lee County Jail without bond.
The arrest relates to the death of an unnamed man on April 14, 2025. Police responded to an argument that turned physical in an intersection and found Hyacinthe standing over the victim. He told officers the victim was shot during the fight.
After the shooting, Hyacinthe reportedly started a Facebook Live stream from the roadway. He discussed the events with viewers and showed the crime scene. He was questioned at the time but later escaped custody before being located by the Fugitive Warrants Unit.
Hyacinthe's next court date is scheduled for Aug. 17.
