Lewis Hamilton reported that his Ferrari lost its balance after a crash in third practice at the Belgian Grand Prix. The seven-time world champion qualified sixth at Spa-Francorchamps despite the issue.
Hamilton crashed at the exit of Fagnes during Saturday's FP3 session. The team rebuilt the car before qualifying, where he finished just 0.002 seconds behind teammate Charles Leclerc in fifth.
Hamilton said the repair caused a subtle change in the rear suspension. He noted the car felt different from the strong balance achieved in FP3.
"I think something wasn't the same on the rear suspension, so the balance wasn't the same as I had in FP3, when the car was feeling really great," Hamilton explained. He praised the team for completing the work under time pressure.
The Briton remained positive ahead of the race, hoping the car would perform well despite the adjustments. He added that he completed decent laps in qualifying and still targets a podium finish.
