HBO has revealed casting for the lead roles of Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, and 21 additional students across Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin for its upcoming TV adaptation of J.K. Francesca Gardiner is the writer and executive producer, with Mark Mylod directing multiple episodes and serving as executive producer. Additional executive producers include J.K. Rowling, Neil Blair, Ruth Kenley-Letts, and David Heyman. The series is produced for HBO in association with Brontë Film and TV and Warner Bros. Television, debuting in 2027 on HBO and streaming on Max, including recent launches in Germany and Italy, and confirmed availability in the UK and Ireland in late March.
