HBO has released the initial trailer for an upcoming documentary directed by Ahmed “Questlove” Thompson about the legendary R&B group Earth, Wind & Fire. The film covers the band's history from its 1970s peak to the present and examines the artistic journey of late founder Maurice White.
HBO unveiled the trailer for the project titled Earth, Wind & Fire (To Be Celestial Vs. That’s the Weight of the World). The documentary draws on the band's archives, including never-before-seen footage, to recreate the energy of its live shows across decades. It also traces the group's musical shifts from jazz and soul to R&B, Afro-funk, and disco while highlighting Maurice White's spiritual influences in the songwriting and performances.
