Heirlome showcases Resort 2027 collection with handcrafted garments

Stephanie Suberville has devoted herself full time to her Heirlome label after leaving her second job. The designer, a 2025 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund runner-up, created the Resort 2027 collection with extensive manual work and input from artisan collaborators.

The opening look features a top and skirt made from individually cut and sewn fabric bands. A strapless ruched dress required 12 yards of fabric, with the sample taking three days to complete and seven hours for the ruching alone.

Suberville collaborated again with Madres y Artesanas Tex on knits and introduced a honeycomb pattern called Miel. The collection includes bees alongside a snake motif created by artisan Luis Manuel Morales, who linked the reptile to themes of rebirth in Purhépechan culture.

She also applied geometric techniques to create drapes from straight lines. One red column dress consists of a full gown underneath with a square top pinched and draped over it.
