Hovvdy announces new album big world and fall tour dates

Hovvdy will release their new album Big World on August 14 via Arts & Crafts. The Austin duo, now based in Nashville, described the record as a more concise follow-up to their 2024 self-titled LP.

Charlie Martin said the band aimed for a simpler approach this time around. “With this one, we wanted to take on the challenge of making something more concise and to the point, and give the fans something that feels like a shorter but more exciting ride,” he said in a press release. The album features 12 tracks, including the single “Try Try Try,” which comes with a home-recorded video directed by Michael Rees. Longtime collaborator Ben Littlejohn produced the LP between Nashville and Asheville.
