Jay-Z performed The Blueprint in full at Yankee Stadium on Saturday night, drawing a sold-out crowd for the second show of his three-night residency. The performance featured guest appearances by Slick Rick, Eminem and Pharrell Williams.
The Brooklyn rapper opened the set with “The Ruler’s Back” alongside Slick Rick, who performed “La-Di-Da-Di” for the Bronx audience. Eminem joined later to perform “Renegade,” marking their first live rendition of the track together since 2010.
Pharrell Williams appeared during the encore and performed several Neptunes-produced tracks, including “Excuse Me Miss,” “Frontin’” and “Allure.” The evening also included deep cuts such as “Never Change” and “Heart of the City.”
The Saturday concert broke Yankee Stadium’s ticket-sales record and featured a notably energetic and diverse crowd. Jay-Z is scheduled to close the residency on Sunday with a show titled Extra Innings.
