Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht wins Promi Big Brother

Actor Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht has won the TV show 'Promi Big Brother' on Sat.1. The 33-year-old triumphed over Harald Glööckler in the final and took home 100,000 euros. His victory follows a tough period marked by legal troubles.

In the live broadcast on Monday evening, the audience voted actor Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht as the winner of the 13th season of 'Promi Big Brother'. The 33-year-old, known from 'Die Wilden Kerle', said through tears: «I just wanted to show myself as I am». It meant a lot to him that viewers had seen that he could be «a good person».

Ochsenknecht, son of Uwe Ochsenknecht (69) and Natascha (61), defeated fashion designer Harald Glööckler (60) in the final and won 100,000 euros. «I never would have thought it», he commented. Glööckler took the loss gracefully: «I wanted to show people my other side. And I'm glad I could do that.»

The victory carries emotional weight: In the summer, Ochsenknecht was arrested at Hamburg airport over an unpaid 14,000-euro hotel bill and extradited to Austria. The case was dropped after a 18,000-euro fine.

In the final with six contestants, Andrej Mangold (38) finished sixth, following a voting glitch that briefly brought him back. Erik aka Satansbratan (26) from Vienna placed fifth, Laura Lettgen alias Laura Blond (30) fourth. Michael Naseband (60), actor from 'K11 – Kommissare im Einsatz' and former detective, took third and said: «I'm also very satisfied».

The 15 participants spent two weeks in a container in Cologne, themed around a rough construction site with wheelbarrows, gravel, and mortar bags, plus a luxurious model apartment. Other contestants included Achim Petry (51), Karina Kipp (47), Désirée Nick (69), and Marc Terenzi (47).
