Johnny Wunder tests Fujikura Ventus TR Black shaft

Golf equipment expert Johnny Wunder visited Fujikura headquarters in Carlsbad to evaluate the new Ventus TR Black VeloCore+ shaft.

Wunder, a 49-year-old golfer with a distinctive swing featuring multiple moving parts, compared the new TR model against his previous Ventus Black VeloCore+ 6-X setup. Testing showed improved ball speed of 164.9 mph and a launch angle of 10.7 degrees with the TR version, while maintaining similar spin rates around 2398 RPM. The TR Black uses Spread Tow carbon fiber in the handle for added torsional stiffness suited to aggressive transitions.
