Jorja Smith releases 'Price Of It All' for Bait soundtrack

Jorja Smith has shared her new single 'Price Of It All' for the soundtrack of the upcoming Amazon Prime Video series Bait. The track accompanies the show written by and starring Riz Ahmed, with episodes premiering on March 25. Smith praised the series enthusiastically after viewing it.

Jorja Smith, a BRIT Award-winning singer, contributed the menacing track 'Price Of It All' to the soundtrack of Bait, Riz Ahmed's new Amazon Prime Video series. The song features nocturnal trip-hop beats and haunted, dramatic vocals, including lyrics such as “I’m not afraid to die today / I could have chose somebody else to love” which hint at the show's tone. Smith shared the single earlier this week and expressed her excitement, stating: “I’ve already seen it and Ahhh it’s so gooooooddd!!!” The six-episode series follows Shah Latif, an unemployed British-Pakistani actor played by Ahmed, whose personal and professional lives crumble over four traumatic days after he emerges as a leading candidate for the next James Bond. Co-starring are Guz Khan, Nabhaan Rizwan, and Rafe Spall. Other artists on the soundtrack include Arooj Aftab, Jay Sean, Anish Kumar, Veyah, Origin Unknown, and MC Shabba D. This release follows Smith's 2023 album 'Falling Or Flying' and her recent single 'Don’t Leave', marking the 10th anniversary of her debut 'Blue Lights'.
