Man accused of stalking Danni Suzuki arrested in São Paulo interior

A 37-year-old man was arrested on Friday morning (30) in Campo Limpo Paulista, accused of stalking and threatening to kill actress Danni Suzuki. Justice had issued a preventive arrest warrant in December, and he turned himself in to the police with his lawyer. The actress reported that the behavior started as admiration but escalated to serious threats.

The arrest took place after the man voluntarily surrendered to local police, accompanied by his lawyer, in the city of Campo Limpo Paulista in São Paulo's interior. The judicial preventive arrest warrant against him was issued in December 2025, in response to reports of obsessive stalking.

According to Danni Suzuki in a released statement, what initially seemed like admiration for her professional and personal career turned into threatening messages. "With time, it became inevitable to seek help. What started as an admiring stance toward my professional and personal journey evolved into messages with threats, including death threats, initially directed at me and later at family, friends, and even work partners," the actress stated.

She delayed filing a police report at first, believing the stalker was facing mental health issues, but the escalation of violence prompted her to act. "The escalation of violence, even without any response from me, and the persistence of this behavior highlighted the severity of the situation, and I realized I needed to act not only for my safety but mainly for the safety of the people I love."

Following the complaint, the suspect was charged with stalking. His name was not disclosed, and his defense could not be reached by reporters. He remains detained at the city's Screening Center.

A similar case involved actress Isis Valverde, who endured stalking for over two decades. The perpetrator was arrested in December 2025 by Rio de Janeiro's Civil Police after intensifying invasive approaches since January of that year.
