A man believed to be in his forties was shot and killed on the M1 Higginson Highway in the Marianhill area outside Pinetown on Saturday afternoon. Emergency services found him with multiple gunshot wounds in a luxury vehicle. He was declared dead at the scene.
Emergency services responded to the M1 Higginson Highway in the Marianhill area, just outside Pinetown, on Saturday afternoon. They found the driver, the only occupant of a luxury vehicle, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson stated that paramedics from EMRS and ALS Paramedics arrived to find SAPS already on site, with the area around the vehicle cordoned off. "Paramedics assessed the man however there was nothing Paramedics could do for him, and he was declared deceased on the scene," Jamieson said.
The entire roadway was closed by Metro Police while investigations continued. The man, believed to be in his forties, was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
