Murkomen orders special police unit against illicit brew in Kerio Valley

Interior Security Minister Kipchumba Murkomen has announced plans to deploy a special police unit to Kerio Valley to intensify the crackdown on illicit brew production and consumption. “The government will not relent in its war against illicit brew, even if it means deploying a special unit to hunt down the culprits,” Murkomen said.

The plan aims to strengthen the crackdown in Kerio Valley against the production and consumption of illicit alcohol. The minister warned that any administrative officer suspected of encouraging alcoholism will face disciplinary measures.
