Nato har valgt Saabs GlobalEye for sine fremtidige behov for luftbåren overvåking. Opptil ti fly skal overvåke luftrom, hav og land.

Kommunalråd Elias Aguirre (S) i Linköping uttrykte stolthet over at ingeniørkunst fra Östgöta bidrar til forsvaret av både Sverige og Nato.
