Three former employees at Golden Age Nursing Home in Guthrie, Oklahoma, have been sentenced to prison terms after pleading guilty to elder abuse and conspiracy. McKenzie Bolfa, Aubrey Granata and Jade Williams recorded and shared videos mocking residents, including a deceased patient.
Bolfa, 22, and Granata, 23, each received 10-year sentences. Williams, 23, is serving 12 years. The incidents occurred at the facility about 30 miles north of Oklahoma City.
The women used Snapchat to capture videos of themselves twisting a female patient's pubic hair and exposing residents during bathroom use. One video showed Bolfa mimicking the expression of a dead patient while lying beside her.
Guthrie police began investigating in April 2024 after a former employee received one of the videos. The three were arrested in June 2024. Bolfa and Granata were sentenced on Tuesday while Williams received her sentence last year.
The nursing home stated that the employees had cleared background checks, received training on residents' rights and were terminated after the allegations surfaced. Civil lawsuits on behalf of the victims are ongoing.
