Pennsylvania tow truck driver charged in manager's shooting

A tow truck employee in Pennsylvania has been accused of fatally shooting his manager following a dispute over an end-of-shift assignment. Niko Hostler, 32, faces criminal homicide charges in the death of 53-year-old Christopher Ashbaugh.

The shooting occurred on Wednesday at Oaks Auto & Truck Service in Springdale Township, according to court records. Hostler was preparing to end his shift when Ashbaugh directed him to handle an additional call, leading to an argument between the two men. Hostler told authorities that Ashbaugh punched him and swung again, prompting him to draw a gun and fire in claimed self-defense.
