Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani stated that the Indonesia International Financial Center may operate in Jakarta for a 2 to 3 year transition before development in Bali.
Rosan, who also serves as Minister of Investment and Downstreaming, said the plan follows the House of Representatives approval of the PFII Law on July 21, 2026. He noted that PFII will use the Danareksa Building in Jakarta as initial capital.
Rosan added that preparation is needed for PFII to become an international-standard financial center. He said his team has met several investors who responded positively.
Kadin Indonesia Chairman Anindya Bakrie assessed that PFII could attract family offices from China and Hong Kong. Paramadina University Rector Didik J. Rachbini called the PFII Law a momentum to strengthen national economic transformation.
