Police seek owner of dog that attacked therapy pony

Police in Devon are appealing for the owner of a springer spaniel to come forward after the dog attacked a therapy pony in Bere Alston on 10 May.

Officers from Devon & Cornwall Police said a six-month-old brown and white springer spaniel wearing a harness entered a paddock and chased two ponies. Miniature Shetland pony Scooter was injured after colliding with a gate post while trying to escape. The owner is described as a woman aged 20 to 30, around 5ft 6ins tall, well-spoken with dark hair in a ponytail.
